Lauwersoog is situated in the North of the Netherlands right on the shores of the Lauwersmeer lake national park. It makes the perfect location for a unique family holiday exploring some of the most beautiful landscapes in the Netherlands. On-site, family members of all ages will find something to enjoy: tennis courts, indoor and outdoor play areas (including a ‘water’ play area), kids’ clubs, entertainment, and opportunities for bike hire. Lauwersoog also has a shop, laundry, takeaway service and a popular restaurant with stunning views over the lake! The area surrounding the holiday park provides no end of opportunities for adventurous day trips. Lauwersoog is located on the UNESCO-protected Wadden Sea coastline, right on the border of the province of Freisland (which is considered to be the most beautiful province in the Netherlands). It is a region of huge skylines, unspoiled islands, historic waterways and tidal mud flats teeming with biodiversity. From boat trips to seal watching, from mudflat hiking to dark sky stargazing, there’s so much to discover during a stay at Lauwersoog. |
