Dive into Fun-Filled Water Experiences

We know it’s a big ask, but if you can peel yourself off the sun-drenched beach, you’ll find a treasure trove of activities and adventure to enjoy. All Siblu holiday parks in France offer the change to enjoy a variety of water sports activities, be it on the Atlantic Coast, the Mediterranean, Lake Biscarrosse, or the Loire river... sailing, surfing, diving, paddle-boarding... there's loads to discover.

Holiday Parks Near the Surf

The Mediterranean and the northern coast of Brittany sometimes deliver waves, but the best surf can be found along the South Atlantic coastline because the choppy Bay of Biscay funnels the swells. Our holiday villages of Les Charmettes and Bonne Anse Plage are perfectly placed to catch them! And for those less sure-footed there’s always sand yachting…

Discover the West Coast

Visit the beautiful Vendée region for a quintessentially French camping holiday in an idyllic spot. Situated on the West Coast near the Loire Valley, south of Nantes and north of La Rochelle, the sparkling, sun-soaked “Côte de Lumière” boasts kilometres of Blue Flag sandy beaches.

Get ready to discover a dazzling corner of France that lies between Bordeaux to the south and the Loire Valley to the north.

The southwest coast of France is an incredibly diverse area, full of beaches, nature and culture. It is also home to four amazing Siblu holiday parks: Domaine de Soulac, La Réserve, Les Viviers and Les Dunes de Contis. Outside of the parks themselves, the South West boasts a huge range of things to see and do, which makes it ideal for all kinds of holidaymakers.

Family Fun in the South West of France

For those who like things a bit calmer, there’s La Réserve on the south-west Atlantic coast. As well as enjoying the sea and the beautiful Aquitaine beaches, visitors also have access to La Reserve’s private beach on the shores of Lake Biscarrosse – a safe environment for children and for water activity novices. A local sailing club, The Nautil Club, operate on the lake and share Siblu’s commitment to safety and enjoyment. The Nautil Club’s services and facilities are on offer alongside our own. You can hire, and get lessons in using, a variety of boats and boards: catamaran, dinghy, canoe, kayak, surfboards and stand-up paddle boards. There are both individual and group lessons available and they range from beginner and intermediate to advanced levels. It’s a perfect day out for a family, regardless of your ability. Please ask at reception for up-to-date information about any partnerships.

Discover the South West

Infinite golden beaches, Europe’s largest sand dune,  arguably the world’s finest wines... And 4 amazing Siblu campsites: La Réserve, Domaine de Soulac, Les Viviers,  and Les Dunes de Contis. What’s not to love about Aquitaine in France’s southwest corner?

Messing About on the River

But don’t feel confined to the coasts. The rivers and waterways of France are a wonderful, and novel, way to explore the interior. Our holiday village Domaine de Dugny is situated near the River Loire, which meanders its way through the Loire Valley, a World Heritage site. The river is overlooked by the stately châteaux dotted along its banks. Many of these grand houses are surrounded by small towns and villages you can moor at and explore.

Meanwhile Les Rives de Condrieu in the Rhone Alps is on the banks of the Rhone river, only 3 km from a water sports centre where you can enjoy exciting water sports such as wake-boarding and water-skiing.

Discover Our Riverside Regions

The romantic Loire Valley lies in France’s heart. It is just south of Paris, yet still wonderfully accessible for the beaches of the Vendée and Loire Atlantique on the Loire coast. The Loire River, France’s longest, meanders through its verdant, vine-covered hills dotted with fairy-tale castles. To boot, it’s a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The stunning Rhone Alps region stretches from Lake Geneva in the north to Provence and the Cevennes in the south. This eastern corner of France is all about forests, mountains, rivers and fresh air, and Siblu’s holiday park, Les Rives de Condrieu, is the perfect exploring base.

Water Sports in the South of France

La Carabasse sits on the Mediterranean in the middle of the lovely Languedoc region. Ask at reception to find out about any current partnerships with Playa Water Sports, based at the nearby Vias Plage beach. Through Playa Water Sports you can hire jet skis as well as canoes, kayaks and stand-up paddleboards (less well known than surfboards but great for a core workout!) – all under the supervision of a qualified instructor.

But, it's not just the sea, Les Sables du Midi holiday park is near the Canal du Midi, a World Heritage site. Built in the 17th century, it was widely considered one of the greatest engineering feats of the day, connecting the Mediterranean with the Atlantic. As part of its construction, the banks were shored up by the planting of thousands of trees making the canal a place of outstanding natural beauty.

Discover the South of France

Languedoc on France’s southern coast has everything you need for a fantastic family holiday: Mediterranean climate, long sandy beaches, astonishing scenery, medieval villages steeped in history, chic cities, and interesting wines.

Nowhere is more synonymous with holidays in France than Provence; and the delightful Côte d’Azur region in its southeast corner is the perfect mixture of seaside resort, hillside hamlet and chic city. The Mediterranean climate and dazzling light have attracted and inspired the greatest artists of the 19th and 20th centuries.
