Domaine de Litteau in Normandy

distance to beach indoor pool slides free childrens club

Season dates for holidaymakers:

  • 2015 - Domaine de Litteau opens on 23 May and closes on 5 September.

Domaine de Litteau has been transformed into a four-star holiday village in Normandy, with a covered pool complex, fantastic play area for the children and two on-site ponds for lazy days fishing.

  What's NEW

Our massive outdoor play zone is now even better! The zone already features a BMX track, climbing ropes, zip wire, giant swing, 4-lane archery range, bouncy castle and a mini-farm with sheep and pigs. Now we have added a 6-hole foot-golf course (that's right, golf with footballs), a giant maze made from maize and a beach volleyball court.

While away your evenings with our new nightly entertainment, including shows, bands and lots more.

We have launched a daily children's club for 10-14 years old, to run alongside our Pirates Club for 5-9s.

Explore the local area on horseback with guided tours for adults and children taking place through July and August. Book your places with our local horse riding centre during your holiday.

This peaceful village sits on the edge of Cerisy Forest and is also the perfect base for exploring the fantastic region of Normandy, which has huge beaches, medieval towns and fascinating history for all ages.

Domaine de Litteau is packed with sports and activities for all the family, including:

  • A fully lifeguarded heated covered pool with waterslide, spa bath and toddler's area
  • FREE children's club for 5 to 9 and 10 to 14 year olds
  • Outdoor playground
  • Bar and terrace with satellite TV
  • Evening entertainment, takeaway food bar
  • Horse riding for adults and children during the summer school holidays

I liked : Our kids loved the pool. The staff were always helpful in giving information on the local area.
I liked less : on-site shop needs broader range of products MUCH better playground required that caters for a broader age range, especially young kids. Archery and boules just doesn't do it for kids aged 5 and 3!! If you are going to have a bouncy castle then make sure it's inflated at regular times - we didn't know from one day to the next when it would be up.. which led to frequent disappointment.

I liked less : no one came to see us all the time we were there until we were leaving, very poor customer relations.

I liked : The accommodation, we loved the fact that the kitchen was separate to the living area and could close off with a sliding door and that both the kitchen and the living area had large patio doors that opened out onto the decking which was a larger decking than usual and as the weather was fabulous that week, we were able to enjoy it to the full.
I liked less : We thought the prices in the bar were expensive, a pint of lager was €5.00, here in Ireland one would expect to pay between €4.50 and €4.80 and certainly the wine, for a very small glass at €2.80 was expensive, given the fact that alcohol is much cheaper in France compared with Ireland, we were surprised at that, it would not encourage and did not encourage us to drink there very often, I know the week we stayed, the entertainment had ended, so we needed something to entice us to the bar and the prices did not. The WiFi could be improved upon also in the bar area, found very hard to get logged on as signal was often poor.
